Max. size:  19.4 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Rio Negro/Casiquiare Canal in Brazil and Venezuela.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 1-1; Dorsal soft rays (total): 6-6; Anal soft rays: 14-17. Distal portion of the upper labial extension distinctly elongated, forming acute tip which sometimes appears as an enlarged terminal fimbriae (Ref. 56896).
