Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range 0 - 1 m
Distribution:  Asia: Laos.
Diagnosis:  5-6 irregularly shaped and placed black bars, black blotch at end of caudal peduncle; last simple dorsal ray slender, not serrated posteriorly; snout, cheeks and lower jaw covered by conspicuous and densely set tubercles; lower lip not interrupted in middle (Ref. 43281).
Biology:  Found in clear water with moderate current (Ref. 43281).
