Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 8 - 8; dH range: 5 - 12; depth range - 15 m,
Distribution:  Africa: Lake Malawi (Ref. 5652, 5595).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Scrapes algae off rocks and also takes in small crustaceans and worms (Ref. 7020).
