Family:  Cyprinidae (Minnows or carps), subfamily: Labeoninae
Max. size:  80 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Mekong, Dong Nai and Chao Phraya basins.
Diagnosis:  Juveniles with brown body and black blotch at base of caudal; dorsal fin of juveniles small with anterior branched rays shorter than head length, slightly longer in adults (Ref. 43281).
Biology:
