Family:  Ariidae (Sea catfishes), subfamily: Ariinae
Max. size:  25 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish; marine
Distribution:  Asia: Andaman Islands, Thailand to Indonesia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in rivers and brackish waters near the shore (Ref. 4833). Feeds on invertebrates and small fishes. Not seen in markets (Ref. 12693).
