Family:  Anthiadidae (Fairy basslets or Streamer basses)
Max. size:  12 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; brackish; marine; depth range 10 - 30 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: endemic to Australia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 10-10; Dorsal soft rays (total): 20-20; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Variable brownish-gray in color, sometimes with violet tinged (Ref. 9002).
Biology:  Occurs inshore near reefs (Ref. 7300). Estuarine species, usually in sponges (Ref. 9002). Benthic (Ref. 75154).
