Max. size:  3.9 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Central America: Atlantic versant between the Patuca River in Honduras and rivers San Juan and Tortuguero in northern Costa Rica.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits backwaters and creeks with low or moderate current velocity. Found between elevations of 0 to 50 m, insectivore (Ref. 36880).

Threat to humans:  harmless
