Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 5.5 - 7.5; dH range: 20
Distribution:  South America: Orinoco River basin.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Feeds on worms, small insects and crustaceans (Ref. 7020). Aquarium keeping: in groups of 5 or more individuals; minimum aquarium size 60 cm (Ref. 51539).
