Max. size:  18 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 7.8 - 8.3
Distribution:  North America: Atlantic slope, in the Tamasopo River of Panuco River basin, Mexico.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in hard, clear waters with pH 7.8-8.3, over rock substrate. Found syntopic with Nosferatu pame, N. steindachneri, Xiphophorus montezumae, Gambusia panuco, and Astyanax mexicanus among other fish species (Ref. 99935).
