Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Lake Victoria.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in shallow water over exposed or partly exposed sandy beaches (Ref. 4983). Is nowhere common but seems to be widely distributed around the lakeshore. Feeds on fish (Ref. 558)
