Max. size:  10.4 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range - 12 m
Distribution:  Africa: Lake Victoria.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found on exposed shores and in sheltered bays, over both sand and mud but probably not close inshore (Ref. 4983). Feeds mainly on fish, also on Diptera larvae (Ref. 558).
