Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range - 13 m
Distribution:  Africa: Lake Victoria.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Relatively common a few hundred meters off-shore over hard substrates. Few specimens caught over mud (Ref. 4983).
