Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 1 - 10 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Caroline, Mariana, and Marshall Islands; OuvĂ©a Atoll in New Caledonia (Ref. 13236).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 0-0; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 0-0. Similar to G. fuscomaculatus but differs by its plain brown coloration.
Biology:  Occurs in coral and rubble of shallow wave-washed reefs.

Threat to humans:  harmless
