Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Liusha river, tributary of the Dadu river at Jiuxiang, Hanyuan County, Sichuan Province, China (type locality).
Diagnosis:  Body color gray on back, white on belly; a yellowish horizontal zone along lateral of body; base of caudal fin with a clear black spot (Ref. 45563).
Biology:  Lives in paddy fields, ditches, ponds, and rivulets. Feeds on tiny aquatic invertebrates (Ref. 45563).
