Max. size:  24 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Central America: Pacific and Atlantic slopes of central and eastern Panama.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Prefers moderate to fast flowing water over a substrate of small stones, sand, rocks and leaf debris from the forest canopy (Ref. 7335).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 02 August 2019 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
