Max. size:  15 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Laos and Viet Nam.
Diagnosis:  Plain dark brown body and fins, sometimes with 5-6 narrow stripes more or less distinct; outline of upper lip and disc circular; snout rounded with only small tubercles and without transverse groove; no barbels; caudal peduncle 1.8-2.0 times longer than deep (specimens larger 8 cm SL) (Ref. 43281).
