Family:  Nothobranchiidae (African rivulines)
Max. size:  8 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: origin unknown, but thought to originate from the border area between Nigeria (Calabar) and Cameroon (Mamfe); concluded from the fact that it was imported together with Fundulopanchax ndianus, which inhabits that area (Ref. 47774, 56193).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Not a seasonal killifish. Bottom spawner, 5 months incubation. Difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
