Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 700 - 2000 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Red Sea.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 290-290; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 235-235; Vertebrae: 166-184. Very light, whitish coloration of head, body and fins. Preanal pores 51-52.
Biology:  Probably inhabiting holes found on soft sea-bottom.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 04 February 2009 Ref. (130435)
