Max. size:  2.2 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 2 - 17 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Red Sea to the Persian Gulf.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 7-7. Dorsal to anal fin-ray formula 8/7; caudal fin rounded, slightly shorter than head.
Biology:  Occurs in coral reefs or rubble bottoms.
