Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 73 - 545 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Monterey Bay to San Diego in California, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in dead bottom-drifting kelp or eelgrass that accumulates in submarine canyons and deep basins. Usually found at less than 210 m depth. Feeds mainly on amphipod crustaceans (Ref. 2850).
