Max. size:  8.3 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: found only in Mobile Bay drainage of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and extreme southeastern Tennessee in the USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits fast rocky riffles of creeks and small to medium rivers (Ref. 5723).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 19 January 2012 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
