Max. size:  10 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: occurs only in the upper Tennessee River drainage from Watauga River to Hiwassee River systems in North Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits very fast, rocky riffles of creeks and small to medium rivers (Ref. 5723, 10294).

Threat to humans:  harmless
