Epiplatys coccinatus Berkenkamp & Etzel, 1982

Family:  Nothobranchiidae (African rivulines)
Max. size:  9 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6 - 7, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: central Liberia. Probably identical to Epiplatys sangmelinensis (Ref. 27139). Possible synonym of Epiplatys ruhkopfi (Ref. 31272).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in small brooks (Ref. 3788). Not a seasonal killifish. Is difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139)
