Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Lulua River (Kasai drainage, middle Congo River basin), upper Lualaba and Luvua (upper Congo River basin) (Ref. 41590) in Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Diagnosis:  Colouration: A well-marked continuous black band running from snout to caudal fin base (Ref. 122753).
Biology:
