Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Sankuru system (Kasai drainage, middle Congo River basin) (Ref. 1880) in Democratic Republic of the Congo. Also in the southern Congo River basin, Zambezi, Kunene and Cubango (=Okavango) in Angola (Ref. 82823, 120641). Presence in the Cuanza in Angola needs confirmation (Ref. 120641).
Diagnosis:  Lateral line incomplete (Ref. 122753).
