Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range 700 - 2000 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: isolated records between Morocco and Madeira Island and south-west of Azores Island. Western Atlantic: off George's Bank. Elsewhere, Indian Ocean and eastern and western Pacific.
