Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range 675 - 900 m
Distribution:  Southern hemisphere: Probably circumglobal.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-11; Anal soft rays: 10-10; Vertebrae: 46-47. This species is characterized by myomeres 48; anal fin beginning after the vertical of the dorsal fin end (Ref. 54806); eye shape, tubular and adipose fin present (Ref. 58272).
