Environment:  bathypelagic; depth range 350 - 1000 m, oceanodromous
Distribution:  Southeast Atlantic: in Agulhas water pockets. Indo-Pacific and Southeast Pacific. South China Sea (Ref.74511).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-14; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 12-14
Biology:  Oceanic and mesopelagic, found below 200 m at night (Ref. 4066). Minimum depth from Ref. 58018.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 26 June 2018 Ref. (120744)
