Max. size:  5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  North America: El Potosí in Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-12; Anal soft rays: 9-11
Biology:  5.9 cm max SL (Ref. 12193). Not a seasonal killifish. Is difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
IUCN Red List Status: Extinct in the Wild (EW); Date assessed: 12 September 2018 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
