Max. size:  9.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: Tallapoosa River system (Alabama River drainage) in Alabama and Georgia, USA; a single record in Chattahoochee River in Alabama.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in sandy and rocky runs of small to medium rivers, less often in flowing pools (Ref. 86798).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 16 November 2011 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
