Family:  Rivulidae (Rivulines), subfamily: Rivulinae
Max. size:  4.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  Central America: Costa Rica.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits waters of lower elevation between 20N and 80 m. Found in puddles, swamps and brooks of low to moderate velocity. Eats insects (Ref. 36880). Not a seasonal killifish. Is very difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
