Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 10 - 15 m
Distribution:  Southwest Pacific: Sydney, Australia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 14-16; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 25-28; Vertebrae: 45-47. Sandy colored dorsally, translucent ventrally; fins transparent (Ref. 9002).
Biology:  Occurs in clean sand areas in the vicinity of rocky reefs (Ref. 9002). Buries deep in sand (Ref. 9002).
