Environment:  demersal; freshwater; pH range: 6 - 8; dH range: 2 - 25
Distribution:  South America: Lower Amazon River and coastal rivers in northeastern Brazil.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Feeds on worms, crustaceans, insects and plant matter (Ref. 7020). Oviparous (Ref. 205).
