Coregonus confusus Fatio, 1885

Max. size:  35 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Europe: Lakes Morat and Bienne, possibly also Lake Neuchatel (Switzerland). Extirpated in Lake Morat. (Ref. 59043). The bondelle of Lake Bienne is apparently this species. Genetic data suggest that it is distinct from C. candidus from Lake Neuchâtel (Ref. 59043).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Lacustrine, deep waters. Spawns in December to January in Lake Morat on sand or mud at 35-40 m. depth, in Lake Bienne on slopes, at 2-20 m. depth (Ref. 59043).
