Max. size:  14 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 8 - 8.5; dH range: 15
Distribution:  Africa: Endemic to Lake Malawi.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Prefers rocky areas. Mostly found near very large boulders, but in shallow water large schools congregate at rocky islets on the sand. Feeds on plankton (Ref. 5595).
