Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Southeast Atlantic: South Africa.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 37-44; Dorsal soft rays (total): 5-9; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 26-34. Generally milky in color; cirri and fin edges generally vermilion; ocellus on shoulder (Ref. 5496).
Biology:  Found in subtidal rock pools (Ref. 5496).
