Family:  Pomacentridae (Damselfishes), subfamily: Chrominae
Max. size:  11 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 40 - 208 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Japan (Ref. 7247), Taiwan (Ref. 12711), and the Chesterfield Islands (Ref. 11897).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 14-14; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-14; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 11-13
Biology:  Adults inhabit rocky bottoms and deep offshore trawling grounds (Ref. 7247). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205).
