Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobiinae
Max. size:  6.3 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 2 - 20 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Gulf of California.
Diagnosis:  Distinguished by the following characteristics: first dorsal fin with VII spines; lack scales on the head and anterior section of body; have modified basicaudal scales on the caudal peduncle; have completely separate pelvic fins; light to dark brown body color with darker bars on sides (Ref. 92840).
Biology:  Inhabits sandy areas with rock or algae cover (Ref. 92840).
