Max. size:  5.6 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range - 1856 m
Distribution:  Southeast Atlantic: only known specimen was taken off Cape Town, South Africa.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 16-16; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 16-16. Dark brown in color (Ref. 6625).
Biology:  One known specimen (Ref. 6628). Minimum depth from Ref. 58018.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 11 October 2018 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
