Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Luapula River (upper Congo River basin) in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 83752) and Zambia (Ref. 52959). Also reported from the Luembe (Kasai tributary, middle Congo River basin) in Angola (Ref. 11970).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 30-30; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 33-33
