Max. size:  5.7 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Lower Kapuas basin, Kalimantan Barat, Borneo, Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 1-1; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-9; Anal spines: 1-2; Anal soft rays: 23-26; Vertebrae: 30-32. Opercle with twin red bars when alive. Male with black body and female with brown body when alive. Lateral line with 32-34 scales. Anal fin with 25-28 rays. Subdorsal scales 6 1/2-8. Body depth at dorsal-fin origin 21.2-24.2% SL. Interorbital distance 27.1-32.1 % HL (Ref. 57022).
