Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: off the Bahamas in deep water. Needs better reference.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-13; Anal soft rays: 12-12. Slender body, short snout, anal fin posterior, short pectoral fin and 7 luminous (?) bodies in midventral line. Dark blotch on the base of the caudal fin, 7 or 8 faint, dusky transverse bars along the sides (Ref. 37473).
