Max. size:  3.93 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: endemic to Thailand.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 16-18; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-9; Anal soft rays: 6-8; Vertebrae: 26-28. Possesses a dark blotch on the dorsolateral aspect of the caudal peduncle. Postorbital stripe angled. Caudal peduncle blotch small and confined to side of caudal peduncle. Adults possess black spots arranged in prominent horizontal rows along the side. Caudal fin base with 3 indistinct dark blotches. Scales in lateral low 25-26 (Ref. 46238).
