Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Endemic to Lake Malawi. Known only from the northern part near Vua and Ngara.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Feeds on small invertebrates that live in the sand (Ref. 12251).
