Max. size:  6 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Approuague and Oyapock River basins.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Frequently found in calm zones of the rapids. Often captured in great numbers, indicating a gregarious behavior (Ref. 12225).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 14 December 2020 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
