Max. size:  21 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Seychelles and Maldives. Randall and Anderson (Ref. 11303) note that this species might be a hybrid of Apolemichthys trimaculatus and Apolemichthys xanthurus but that more specimens are needed for confirmation.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Rare species that inhabits seaward reef slopes (Ref. 9710).
