Family:  Apogonidae (Cardinalfishes), subfamily: Apogoninae
Max. size:  14 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 10 - 35 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Japan, Taiwan, and Papua New Guinea (Ref. 11890).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Body light-yellow and anterior margin of scales dark. Attains 14 cm SL.
Biology:  Inhabits coral reef (Ref. 75154).
