Distribution:  South America: Amazon River basin, from Pucallpa on the Ucayali River in Peru to Santa SofĂ­a Island in the Amazon River in Colombia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Eggs are deposited on the ceiling of caves and are tendered by the female parent (Ref. 2060).
