Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 5 - 6; dH range: 6 - 10
Distribution:  South America: Madre de Dios River basin of the Amazon River basin, Peru.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits small streams and swamps (Ref. 9088). Eggs are deposited on the ceiling of caves and are tendered by the female parent (Ref. 47893).
