Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 5.5 - 6; dH range: 5
Distribution:  South America: Orinoco River basin, in the Vichada River drainage and the middle Meta River drainage in Colombia, and along the middle Orinoco River basin.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Does not appear to practice harem spawning. The parents stay and raise the young together (Ref. 12251). Maximum length 7.0 cm TL (Ref. 12251).
